Why can’t my users download the RepliGo client via their BlackBerry Browser?
- If your users are getting a browser error message after clicking on the “Download RepliGo Professional” link in the deployment email message, then their default browser may not have access to RepliGo Server. Sometimes there are multiple browsers installed on a BlackBerry device. If this is the case, then the user may need to change their default browser or else manually invoke the browser that allows an MDS connection to the server, typically called the BlackBerry Browser.
- If your users are getting a browser error message that reads “HTTP Error 406: Not Acceptable”, then their Browser may be configured to accept WML content only. They can correct this problem by going into the Browser’s Options > Browser Configuration screen and changing the Content Mode setting to WML & HTML. After making the change, they will need to reopen the deployment page sent by RepliGo Server.
- Make sure that RepliGo Server is running. Using the Windows Services control panel, verify that the service is started.
- Make sure MDS is running and enabled for the user.
- Make sure the Allow Internal Connections BES IT Policy is enabled for the user.
- If the error message on the device is “Download Failed” then the problem may be a configuration in BES preventing the RepliGo client application from being downloaded, see the related article below.
