What causes a "Connection error (403)" when opening a document with RepliGo?
This error may be caused by an improper “Server” setting in the registry where the RepliGo Server BES Extension is installed. This extension consists of a single file (CerBESExt.dll) and corresponding registry entries. If you manually installed the extension using regsvr32.exe, then the Server hostname and port may have inadvertently been left to the default “localhost:4080″. The hostname and port must be set to the real hostname and port where RepliGo Server is installed, even if it is the same machine as your BES. Please note that “localhost” and the IP address of 127.0.0.1 are not valid entries for the hostname.
To check or modify your Server setting, run regedit.exe and look at the “Server” entry located here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Agents\Plugins\CerBESExt. If an incorrect hostname and/or port are listed, make the correction and then restart your BES Controller service or Domino Server.
Note that older email attachments will continue to fail with a 403 error because the hostname and port are still associated with the old setting. To verify your changes, you must try a test with a new email and attachment.
