RepliGo Server 1.3 Release Notes

 
These release notes contain general information for RepliGo Server 1.3.
 
New Features:
Updated conversion engine for more precise, robust document conversions, and enhanced processing for faxes and other complex document types.
Increased the maximum size of documents that can be handled from 16 MB to 64 MB
Added Trackball Support (horizontal and vertical scrolling) for the BlackBerry 8100 (Pearl)
Added Auto aging of the document and page cache and now recovers disk space in the RepliGo Server installation directory, where in previous versions the cache would only grow.
Added a workaround for the Deploy page in the Administrator application for network configurations that require fully qualified domain names (FQDNs) and not just Windows NetBIOS names.
Added a feature in the Monitoring page in the Administrator application that will take an additional URL parameter of "?events=N" to temporarily change the number of events being shown instead of the default 15.
Added a small setup application that is now included to completely reset the document and page cache.
Fixed a memory overuse problem on pages that contain a large amount of images.
Added an enhanced warning message that users receive when they select "Open with RepliGo" on email messages that have not been processed by RepliGo Server.
 
Upgrading:

Upgrading your existing installation of RepliGo Server to version 1.3 must be done sequentially. This means that if you currently have 1.0, you must first upgrade to 1.1, then 1.2, then 1.3. Similarly, if you have 1.1 running, you must upgrade to 1.2 first, then 1.3.

Before upgrading, it may be a good idea to make a copy of your current license.key file which can be found in the RepliGo Server directory on the machine where RepliGo Server is installed, for example: C:\Program Files\RepliGo Server.

Also, make sure to stop the BlackBerry Controller service and the Windows Management Instrumentation service before performing the upgrade. Once complete, restart these services.

The upgrades must be completed in a sequential order. If a version is skipped, an error message will appear, "RepliGo Server is not installed." The upgrades need to be run on both machines in a two-machine RepliGo Server installation, where RepliGo is on a separate machine than the BES it is servicing.
