Introduction
(top)
RepliGo™ represents a breakthrough in document conversion technology and
mobility. In a matter of seconds, virtually any document you have on your PC can
be transferred to your handheld device while maintaining the document’s
original look and feel. This includes Microsoft® Office documents, Adobe®
PDF files, Web pages and hundreds of other formats. Once on your device, documents
can easily be viewed, printed, and shared with others using the supplied RepliGo
Viewer.
RepliGo offers two methods of converting your documents.
| 1. |
RepliGo Menu and Toolbar: This allows you to
use the RepliGo menu and toolbar buttons within Microsoft® Office applications
to quickly convert Office files. A toolbar button for converting Web pages with
Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.5 or above is also included. Use these toolbar
buttons to take full advantage of the new features in 2.0 such as hyperlinks and
bookmarks. |
| 2. |
RepliGo Printer: Use the File > Print command in your
application to “print” to the RepliGo Printer for conversion.
These operations are discussed in greater detail later in this guide. |
Once the document has been converted on your desktop computer,
it can then be synchronized with your handheld device and viewed using the RepliGo
Viewer. |

Document Conversion
(top) Converting
Microsoft® Office documents
RepliGo is tuned to convert Microsoft® Office documents in
an intelligent and innovative manner. To make working with and reading these documents
a pleasant experience on handheld devices, RepliGo provides toolbar button add-in
for Microsoft® Word, Excel and PowerPoint® which not only simplifies the
conversion process, but allows it to optimize the document translation from these
applications. For Office 2000, XP, and 2003, the toolbar allows such features
as hyperlinks and bookmarks to be recognized in the original document and translated
to the RepliGo version.

Viewer and display the existing RepliGo documents on your device in a list view
if RepliGo Viewer does not currently have a file open.
RepliGo List View
When you start RepliGo Viewer it shows your converted documents
in a list view. (See Figure 17).
In most cases, RepliGo can identify what application the document
originated from and show the corresponding document icon. For example, if you
convert a Microsoft Word document, the document icon in the list view will show
a small Word icon next to the document name. Documents converted from Microsoft
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Publisher, Internet Explorer, as well
as, PDF, and Text files will have a their corresponding icon. For documents converted
from all other applications, RepliGo Viewer substitutes its own document icon.
If the document resides on the memory card, you will also see
a small memory card icon included in the lower right corner of the document icon.
You can choose to display only certain documents by specifiying
what Category to show in the list view or you can show only the files in main
memory or on the memory card or both. Set up your categories by tapping the RepliGo
tab and selecting Categories... from the menu.
