Introduction (top)

RepliGo™ represents a breakthrough in document conversion technology and mobility. In a matter of seconds, virtually any document you have on your PC can be transferred to your Nokia Series 3650 or 7650 phone while maintaining the document’s original look and feel. This includes Microsoft® Office documents, Adobe® PDF files, Web pages and hundreds of other formats. Once on your phone, documents can easily be viewed using the supplied RepliGo Viewer.

RepliGo offers two methods of converting your documents.

1.
RepliGo Menu and Toolbar: This allows you to use the RepliGo menu and toolbar buttons within Microsoft® Office applications to quickly convert Office files. A toolbar button for converting Web pages with Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.5 or above is also included.
2.
RepliGo Printer: Use the File > Print command in your application to “print” to the RepliGo Printer for conversion.
These operations are discussed in greater detail later in this guide.

Once the document has been converted on your desktop computer, it can be sent to your phone via Bluetooth or infrared and viewed using the RepliGo Viewer.

Document Conversion (top)

Converting Microsoft® Office documents

RepliGo is tuned to convert Microsoft® Office documents in an intelligent and innovative manner. To make working with and reading these documents a pleasant experience on Nokia Series 60 phones, RepliGo provides an add-in for Microsoft® Word, Excel and PowerPoint® which not only simplifies the conversion process, but allows it to optimize the document translation from these applications.

After installing RepliGo and choosing to include the Microsoft® Office Integration during the installation, you must agree to accept the RepliGo macro to allow for the application integration. (See Figure 7). This dialog is displayed the next time you start Microsoft® Word, Excel, or PowerPoint® depending on your macro security settings.

Figure 7: The Macro Security Warning dialog.

Click the Always trust macros from this source checkbox and then click Enable Macros. This screen verifies that you are trusting the source of the macro and it can be installed on your desktop computer. You will not see this dialog again once you have enabled the macro.

By choosing to include the Microsoft® Office Integration during the installation and enabling the RepliGo macro, the installer also inserts the RepliGo menu (See Figure 8) into Microsoft® Word, Excel, and PowerPoint® if those applications are present on the desktop computer.

Figure 8: The RepliGo Menu inside Microsoft® Office applications.

Additionally, the RepliGo toolbar (See Figure 9) is installed for quick conversion of your document with the current settings. A convenient button launches the RepliGo Desktop Window for access to important information, links to technical support, documentation, demos, uninstall, and the ReadMe file. (Some links require a live Internet connection to access).

Transferring and Populating the RepliGo List View

Since the Nokia Series 60 phones do not have a direct cable link to your PC, you must perform steps to transfer your RepliGo documents from the PC to your phone. Additionally, RepliGo documents are sent to your phone's Inbox, so you must manually save them to a separate location for the RepliGo Viewer to list them in the List View.

Follow these steps once the conversion is complete on the desktop PC to transfer and populate the RepliGo Viewer List View.

1.

Once the conversion is complete, the RepliGo document (.rgo file) will be saved to the location you specified in the Convert Document dialog. (See Figure 10).

Use your Bluetooth management software on your desktop PC, and copy or drag the RepliGo document (.rgo file) to the appropriate icon or folder to begin the transfer process to your phone. Refer to your Bluetooth connection device's manual and Nokia Series 60 phone manual for information about setting up a connection between your PC and your phone.

You may also use your PC's infrared port to transfer RepliGo documents to your phone.

2.

Your new RepliGo document (.rgo file) will be sent to your Inbox. (See Figure 16). Navigate to the Messaging application on your phone and open your Inbox. You will see the file listed which you can then select to open which will launch RepliGo Viewer.

Figure 16: The Messaging Inbox with RepliGo documents

Press the Options button to open the menu and scroll down to select Save. The destination directory should be the "\Documents" directory on the drive of your choice. (See Figure 17).

RepliGo Viewer (top)

RepliGo Viewer resides on your phone. It receives the documents that are converted on the desktop computer and displays, navigates, and manages your converted RepliGo documents.

Start RepliGo Viewer on your phone by navigating to your list of programs and selecting RepliGo. This will launch RepliGo Viewer and display the existing RepliGo documents on your phone in a list view once you have saved them to a folder outside of the Messaging application.

Refer to the Document Conversion section for information on converting and transferring documents to your phone.
